Japanese Calligraphy Trial lesson
Japanese calligraphy is the way of writing Chinese and Kana characters with a writing brush and ink.

During the Edo period, children learned calligraphy at community houses (called Terakoya in Japanese).
Nowadays, Japanese calligraphy is one of the Japanese arts. You can experience this in Yakage town.

You can choose a Japanese word you like. It takes about 50 minutes to learn how to do, and write on special paper at the end.
You can take it home with you. It will be a nice memory of the trip of Yakage town.
