Priest’s smile

Daitsuji is an ancient temple of the Soto sect that is said to have been founded in 743.
The garden for viewing the pond is called “Sekijyuen” and extends to the north side of the traditional Japanese drawing room. The garden is widely known as for beautiful rock garden.

It was built by Yagake town’s gardener in the late Edo period, taking 21 years.

A gentle priest of this temple who teaches us Zen and manners with a smile and detailed response.
